WHY LINGIVO?

Less project prep.
More confident delivery.

Lingivo connects translation, linguistic quality assurance, terminology, style guidance, and source analysis — then adapts the workflow for translators, teams, and business users.

THE WORKFLOW DIFFERENCE

Before Lingivo and after Lingivo

The platform does not replace language professionals. It removes repetitive preparation, exposes quality signals, and gives experts a clearer starting point.

Before Lingivo

MANUAL & FRAGMENTED
  • ×Translation starts without enough contextIndustry terms, audience, and style expectations are discovered while work is already underway.
  • ×Quality checks focus on surface errorsDeeper issues in accuracy, tone, terminology, locale, and consistency can be missed.
  • ×Terms are extracted by handTranslators search documents manually and rebuild similar glossaries across projects.
  • ×Style guidance lives in scattered filesTeams interpret brand voice, formatting, dates, and punctuation differently.
  • ×Complexity is estimated from a quick readThe wrong expertise or workflow may be assigned before risks become visible.
  • ×Quality is difficult to explainStakeholders receive issue lists without a transparent, weighted quality score.
  • ×Enterprise fit is unclearBuyers ask about CAT integrations, API docs, automation, analytics, benchmarks, references, and support-platform integrations.

After Lingivo

CONNECTED & EXPLAINABLE
  • Translation uses the right project contextChoose language, locale, industry, AI engine, glossary, TM, and style constraints before generating the first result.
  • LQA detects both languages and locates evidenceOverride the target locale when needed, then inspect exact findings across the same eight weighted dimensions everywhere.
  • Glossaries become reusable terminology assetsReview source-backed terms and download TBX, XLSX, or CSV directly from the result.
  • Style guidance is ready to edit or shareConfirmed and inferred guidance is separated, then exported as DOCX or PDF.
  • Risks are visible before assignmentComplexity, subject matter, audience, and recommended expertise guide the workflow.
  • Quality becomes measurableTeams see category scores, recommended weights, findings, and an overall score out of 100.
  • Language and locale rules stay visibleBCP-47 codes, script direction, locale conventions, format checks, and human-review guidance travel with the project.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Clear answers for localization buyers

Direct answers about product fit, CAT tools, document handling, languages, and human review.

What is Lingivo?

Lingivo is a role-based AI localization workspace for translating documents, running weighted LQA, extracting glossaries, creating style guides, and analyzing source-file complexity.

Who is Lingivo for?

Lingivo is built for translators and reviewers, agencies and localization teams, and business users who need to translate their own content safely.

How does Lingivo compare with CAT tools?

Lingivo does not replace CAT tools such as Phrase, memoQ, or Trados. It supports the work around them: intake analysis, terminology extraction, AI translation drafts, quality scoring, style guidance, and reusable exports.

Does Lingivo use customer files for training?

No. Lingivo keeps uploaded documents in time-limited private storage and does not use them to train AI models. Live AI providers are governed through organization policy and business/API terms.

How does Lingivo support 120+ languages?

A central registry stores BCP-47 codes, locale variants, scripts, text direction, provider capability, and review risk for translation, LQA, glossary, TM, and export workflows.

Does Lingivo preserve document format?

For supported editable formats, Lingivo returns a same-format download only after the output is verified. PDF layout preservation needs additional validation and may require an alternate export.

EXPANDED LQA MODEL

Quality evidence—not a black-box percentage

Lingivo combines rule-based checks with structured AI linguistic analysis. Findings carry severity, source/target evidence, correction or review-required status, confidence, and exact location. The fixed rubric is Grammar 15%, Terminology 20%, Consistency 15%, Tone 10%, Style Guide Compliance 10%, Contextual Issues 15%, Formatting 7%, and Variables/Placeholders 8%.

WHAT CHANGES

One workspace, four practical outcomes

01

Faster preparation

Move from source file to an informed localization workflow without recreating the same setup work.

02

Consistent decisions

Apply the same terminology, style expectations, and LQA framework across languages and vendors.

03

Explainable quality

Connect findings to transparent category scores and weights that stakeholders can understand.

04

Expert control

Keep human reviewers in charge of judgment, approval, terminology, and final delivery.

ENTERPRISE READINESS

Built for controlled localization pilots

Lingivo brings quality signals, private file handling, exportable outputs, team access, and usage visibility into one evaluation workspace.

SEC

Private file handling

Uploads are validated, fingerprinted, stored outside the public webroot, and governed by configured retention controls.

QA

Explainable quality

Hybrid LQA combines rule-based checks with AI linguistic findings, visible evidence, weighted categories, and corrections.

PM

Translation routing

Document analysis combines intended use, risk, difficulty, extraction confidence, and expertise to recommend an AI-led or human-led production route before assignment.

EXPORT

Reusable outputs

Teams can download translated files, LQA and analysis reports, TBX/XLSX/CSV glossaries, DOCX/PDF style guides, and approved TMX memory where supported.

TEAM

Workspace governance

Organization roles, team invitations, project ownership, credit ledgers, audit events, and provider policy remain organization-scoped.

Best-fit evaluation:

Validate quality workflows, terminology control, project-readiness decisions, and team adoption before committing to deeper integrations.

LANGUAGE AND LOCALE INFRASTRUCTURE

Language-aware from prompt to export

Lingivo carries language code, locale, script, direction, terminology constraints, and review risk through each workflow instead of treating every language pair the same.

01

Locale-specific codes

Projects store BCP-47 codes such as en-GB, fr-CA, pt-BR, and zh-Hant so translation, LQA, glossary, and TM records remain precise.

02

Script-aware output

RTL, CJK, Indic, Thai, Lao, Khmer, and accented Latin workflows receive direction, font, spacing, encoding, and layout guidance.

03

Detected language, explicit locale

LQA detects source and target languages automatically. Teams can override the target locale for punctuation, dates, separators, currency, quotation marks, spacing, and RTL checks.

04

Language-pair confidence

Results distinguish high, medium, and low confidence using pair coverage, extraction quality, references, script needs, and content risk.

05

Multilingual terminology

One concept can carry approved, forbidden, keep-as-source, and unapproved suggested terms across languages and locale variants.

DETAILED SECURITY ARCHITECTURE

Your content stays under controlled processing

Lingivo separates customer files from public web assets and model-training pipelines, while organization-scoped permissions and audit context govern access.

No Lingivo model trainingTime-limited private storageOrganization-scoped access

DETAILED FAQ

Scores and evaluation questions, explained

Decision metrics, product fit, language, integration, security, and human-review guidance for buyers and pilot teams.

What does the Document Analyzer recommendation mean?

Follow the Recommended Translation Route: prepare the source first; AI-only for low-risk internal-reference use; AI translation plus bilingual human proofreading; human translation plus independent proofreading; or specialist human translation and sign-off. The route combines intended use with Translation Workflow Readiness, Production Risk, Translation Difficulty, content type, terminology, protected items, file format/layout, locale-sensitive data, and extraction reliability. Workflow readiness is a positive routability score—not translation quality or permission to skip the stated safeguards. Risk and difficulty are separately calculated higher-is-worse or higher-is-harder metrics and do not need to total 100 with readiness. Analysis Confidence states how strongly the evidence supports the assessment, not whether the document is safe.

When does Lingivo recommend AI-only or human translation?

AI-only is limited to low-risk, low-difficulty internal-reference use with strong extraction and analysis confidence; it must not be published or delivered. AI plus bilingual human proofreading is the normal route when AI can prepare a draft but a qualified reviewer must approve it. Human translation plus independent proofreading is used for high-risk or high-difficulty work. Specialist human translation is used for critical, legal, medical, regulated, or contractual use and adds required subject-matter sign-off. Weak or insufficient extraction stops translation until the source is repaired and reanalyzed.

What does Translation Draft Confidence mean?

Draft Confidence measures whether the generated draft is technically ready to enter bilingual LQA. It combines segment coverage 35%, structural preservation 25%, approved terminology compliance 15%, translation completion 15%, and provider/segment confidence 10%. Scores of 90–100 are ready for LQA, 82–89 need draft review first, and scores below 82 need repair before LQA. Number-format changes that may be valid for the target locale are review warnings rather than automatic blockers. This is not a linguistic-quality or delivery score.

How should I interpret the LQA Quality Score and delivery risk?

The LQA Quality Score is normalized across the categories selected for the run. Only located rule evidence and AI findings with exact validated source/target segment evidence and confidence of 80% or higher can lower a category score; lower-confidence AI observations remain non-scoring review notes. No validated evidence means no penalty. Below 65 recommends human retranslation, 65–89 requires human review, and 90+ requires the listed corrections and approval. Delivery risk is not simply 100 minus the score: a critical Grammar, Terminology, Consistency, or Contextual finding can block use even when the weighted total is high.

Why is there no overall Glossary score?

A glossary is a governed terminology artifact, not a pass/fail output. Lingivo shows confidence and termhood for individual candidates and keeps every proposed translation unapproved until a linguist, reviewer, or authorized workspace user accepts it.

Why is there no overall Style Guide score?

A generated style guide combines confirmed client rules with inferred guidance. Lingivo keeps those sources separate so reviewers can approve the enforceable rules that Translation and LQA may reuse; a single percentage would hide that governance distinction.

Does Lingivo replace human translators or reviewers?

No. It accelerates project preparation, controlled translation drafts, and issue detection while keeping professional reviewers responsible for judgment and final approval.

How does Lingivo compare with CAT tools?

Lingivo complements rather than replaces CAT tools. It adds intake analysis, terminology and style preparation, governed AI translation, evidence-backed LQA, and reusable exports around the CAT workflow.

Does Lingivo integrate with CAT tools, APIs, or enterprise systems?

Lingivo has an application API and structured exports. Public API documentation and direct CAT, automation, support-platform, and marketplace connectors are not yet published; confirm required integrations during the pilot.

Which languages and document types are supported?

Lingivo provides more than 120 searchable language and locale options. The app accepts DOCX, PDF, PPT/PPTX, XLIFF, SDLXLIFF, MQXLIFF, CSV, JSON, XML, PO, XLS/XLSX, TBX, and SRT files up to the configured upload limit.

Will the translated download keep the source format?

Lingivo returns the same format for supported editable files only after the export is verified. PDF layout preservation needs additional validation and may require an alternate export.

How does Lingivo handle low-confidence language pairs?

Confidence messaging considers language-pair coverage, extraction quality, references, script requirements, and content risk. Medium or low confidence explicitly requires human or specialist review.

How does Lingivo handle uploaded files securely?

Uploads are validated, fingerprinted, held outside the public webroot, processed under organization access controls, and removed according to retention policy. Lingivo does not use them to train AI models.
